Identity

Dihexa is N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6)-aminohexanoic amide, a synthetic analogue of angiotensin IV developed at Washington State University. It is the only compound in this range designed from the outset for oral stability.

Molecular target

Hepatocyte growth factor and its receptor c-Met. Dihexa is described as a positive modulator: it does not activate c-Met alone but potentiates HGF-dependent signalling, reportedly at very low concentrations.
